(Inspired by Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Sonnet XLIII)

Oh Pet, how I love thee

I love how you silently purr in delight

Even if you fur my clothes

I love how you imagine you are tall

Even if you scratch my flesh

Neither dawn nor dusk could stop you

Even if you run frantically

Oh pet, how do I love thee?

I love thee by touching your soft coat

Even if you show me irritation

I love thee by play

Even if you go incognito

Nothing could stop thee from sounding your voice

Oh pet, how do I love thee?
